 Salt Spring (the Idea and the) Island
Salt Spring, largest of the Gulf Islands, is 180 square kilometers (70 square miles), situated between Washington State, Vancouver Island and the city of Vancouver on the west coast of British Columbia. The physical micro-climate is dry Mediterranian. The cultural micro-climate is eclectic, innovative, holistic and artistic.
What is interesting about Salt Spring Island is the creative and regenerative energy. Salt Spring is like a wellspring of healing water, that opens the path for deep inner releases, exploration, recovery and ultimately 'life-changing' discovery.
In our activities I bring the energies this island has taught me, to whatever location we work in.
There are ways that we can feel free, joyful and creative even in difficult environments. First we need to uncover and then stabilize the healing spring within us.
I believe that each of us has this source of vitality, transformation and growth within us. There are very specific practices, habits and disciplines that allow us to engage the well-spring of creativity, joy and recovery.
