Meditation usually begins with a little yoga to settle the body, followed by grounding, aligning and watching practice. Inspirational, stress, and other special-purpose meditations are incorporated when appropriate.
Ashtanga classes are energetic and thorough. The primary series tones and cleanses the body, mind and emotions. Strength, endurance, flexibility and circulation increase steadily. Introductory classes work with your present fitness and flexibility. The principles and primary movements of yoga are explained over several classes.
Restorative classes provide an opportunity for relaxation and tension release. In addition the practice benefits people with injury or chronic pain.
