We dream every night...but what do our dreams mean and what are they trying to tell us?

Join David Gordon, Ph.D.—author of Mindful Dreaming—and Dani Vedros, LCSW for a better understanding of what your dreams are telling you and how to benefit from the profound guidance they offer in your everyday life.

Here's a short quiz:

What do the following people have in common?

Charlotte and Emily Bronte, Albert Einstein, Paul McCartney, George Frederick Handel, Richard Wagner, Robert Louis Stevenson,  Renes Descartes, Orson Welles, Ingmar Bergman, Elias Howe, James Watt, Billy Joel, D.H. Lawrence, Dmitri Mendelev, and Jack Nicklaus.

These are just a few of the scientists, musicians, artists, writers, inventors and athletes who have said their work was deeply enriched and often, completely inspired by their dreams!

Dreams are one of the primary sources of human creativity and problem solving. In fact, virtually all cultures throughout time have honored the wisdom available from dreams. Yet, in our own society, few of us realize the profound guidance they offer us each night.

Based on David Gordon's new book Mindful Dreaming, this workshop explores the many ways in which dreams offer assistance in our daily lives--working within us each night to provide support, healing and greater clarity about our life's purpose.

The healing energy carried by our dreams enables us to shift our perspectives about who we are and what we need to live our life more authentically. Dreams are a powerful source of guidance from our psyche that help us develop an individualized “working map” through the corridors of our life.

Understanding our dreams helps us relate more intimately and effectively in family, social and work relationships. Whether in regard to relationships, career problems or creative blocks, dreams offer new perspectives that allow us to transcend the fear that suffocates our full potential, release chronic conflict in relationships, and discover our own path to the quality of love we want to receive and give.

Dreams also help unearth the passionate energy trapped beneath the self-defeating attitudes that have kept you stuck, frustrated and unfulfilled in your life. In fact, because every dream image is a hologram of living, healing energy on which you can draw, you’ll discover that dreamwork releases energy that you will actually feel in your body. Working with your dreams will literally open you to a fresher, fuller, more immediate experience of life.

Perhaps most importantly, the regular practice of dreamwork deepens and enhances our respect for the spiritual ground of life. In fact, dreams prompt and lead us, actually suggesting a direction we need to take in life and a way to achieve the mindfulness required to get there. Throughout the Journey our dreams and Dream Mentors urge us to learn ten perennial lessons in mindfulness taught by spiritual traditions in every era and culture--lessons that allow us to live life more fully and richly.

Dream Mentors urge us to release distraction and honor solitude, release control and accept guidance, release attachment and learn to grieve, release judgment and embrace compassion for ourselves, and to release impatience so that we may live more consciously and fully awake in the present moment.

So if you're looking for that dream getaway you've been putting off,  here's your opportunity to get away and dream.
